What is Move for CP?
Cerebral Palsy (CP) affects millions of people worldwide, causing physical and developmental challenges that can last a lifetime. But here's what we know: awareness leads to understanding, understanding leads to acceptance, and acceptance changes lives.
Move for CP is more than just a fitness event. It's a movement for change.
Founded by Melisa Wilson, CEO of Advocacy Solutions of Maryland LLC, this annual fundraiser brings awareness to Cerebral Palsy through inclusive movement and fitness. Because when we move together, we prove that everyone belongs in the wellness conversation.

Meet Your Host
Melisa Wilson, Founder and CEO
As a DC-native and mother of an amazing son with Cerebral Palsy and Trisomy 8, Melisa knows firsthand what it means to navigate life caring for someone with developmental disabilities. Determined to make a difference, she became an advocate for families in the special needs community, providing access to resources and services.
With a BS in Human Services Management, Melisa is a certified Support Broker in Maryland's Self-Directed Services, the founder of Thrive Center of Maryland and also serves as a Senior Management Analyst in the Federal Government.
Melisa created Move for CP to prove that fitness, community, and advocacy can come together to create real change.

Can I get a refund if I can't attend?
Because Move for CP is an event supporting a worthy cause, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Your registration helps fund cerebral palsy awareness and advocacy programs, so even if you can't make it, you're still making a difference!

Absolutely! Move for CP is designed to be inclusive for ALL abilities and fitness levels. Our certified trainer will provide modified workout options so everyone can participate comfortably and safely. What if I can't attend but still want to support the cause?
We appreciate your support! If you're unable to attend the event, you can make a donation through the registration form instead of purchasing a ticket. Every contribution helps raise awareness and provide resources for individuals with cerebral palsy and their families.
Where is the event located?
Move for CP 2026 will be held in Greenbelt, MD. The exact venue address and location details will be provided to all registered ticket holders via email prior to the event. This ensures we can share important parking, accessibility, and arrival information with our attendees.
What should I bring to the event?
Bring comfortable workout clothes, athletic shoes, a water bottle, and your positive energy! We'll provide everything else you need for an amazing experience.
